Information Technology year 2 students completed their first project of the year. The project included a showcase of their work with parents, program advisors, staff from Cascadia, and including peer evaluations from first year ITS students.
Students were given a scenario to install and configure wired and wireless home office network for a small chiropractor business. Students demonstrated the ability to connect and secure desktops and mobile devices with Linux, Windows and Mac Operating Systems. In addition, they setup a file server with controlled permissions to data and ensuring that all data could be recovered in the event of equipment failure or natural disaster.
